Job Summary

The Lecturer will be responsible for delivering course content in line with the approved syllabus, assessing student performance, and supporting academic success through regular office hours and diverse teaching methods such as Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Student-Centered Learning (SCL). The role also includes conducting research, maintaining accurate records, participating in university activities and meetings, and fulfilling end-of-term academic responsibilities. Upholding ethical standards and contributing to institutional goals through leadership and collaboration within faculty and university committees are essential aspects of the position.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver course instruction in alignment with the approved syllabus and course outline to ensure all learning objectives are effectively met.
  2. Design, administer, and grade exams to assess student achievement in accordance with standards approved by the Academic Council.
  3. Conduct high-quality research and actively support the research initiatives within the Faculty of Economics.
  4. Maintain accurate daily attendance records and communicate concerns to the Head of Department to meet the institution’s retention goals.
  5. Hold regular office hours to provide academic support, tutoring, and additional guidance to students as needed.
  6. Begin and end classes on time, ensuring full instructional periods are utilized, and adhere strictly to the university’s academic and administrative policies.
  7. Employ a variety of teaching methods to address diverse learning styles, with a strong preference for Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Student-Centered Learning (SCL) approaches.
  8. Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide meetings and events.
  9. Engage in academic and professional development activities such as seminars, workshops, orientations, and graduation ceremonies.
  10. Complete all end-of-term responsibilities, including submission of final grades, exam papers, attendance records, and other required documentation to the appropriate departments.
  11. Take leadership roles in faculty and university-level committees when assigned.
  12. Uphold ethical standards and ensure all academic activities are conducted legally and professionally.
  13. Perform any additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Faculty of Economics.
Job Requirements

  1. Ph.D. in Management with a minimum of 80% marks (or equivalent academic distinction).
  2. Must meet all academic credential requirements as stipulated by the university and the Ministry of Higher Education.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of university-level teaching experience (may be waived at the discretion of university leadership if all other criteria are met).
  4. A minimum of two (2) research papers published in reputable international journals.
  5. A minimum CGPA of 3.3 in the Ph.D. program.
  6. Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  7. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies, including Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Student-Centered Learning (SCL).
